Play: Physics Toolbox in Family Outreach

Physics Toolbox Play

An app for outreach with children and families

Education is at the core of why we develop Physics Toolbox apps. Additionally, we recognize that many people balk at the word "physics," and that attitudes about science are often formed when people are quite young...

Color Detector in Suite/Pro

Stand-alone sensor now integrated into Suite and Pro

An upgraded version of our stand-alone Physics Toolbox Color Detector has now been added to Physics Toolbox Sensor Suite and Physics Toolbox Sensor Suite Pro. This detector uses the camera to analyze the area inside of a small rectangular box on the screen. Color values from each pixel are combined to give an average color, which appears as a similarly-colored bar below the camera image, as well as the common color name and its corresponding hexadecimal value.

With the Pro version of our app, users get the added feature of a button that allows the user to easily copy the hexadecimal value for the color to the device's clipboard for later retrieval.
