Free Virtual Physics Educator Workshop
Free Virtual Physics Educator Workshop
A Collaboration with the
NASA Space Science Education Coalition (NSSEC)
Along with a group of educators working to advance space science education, Vieyra Software is helping to develop hands-on activities that integrate sensors with physics and space science.
Are you a high school or introductory college/university physics or astronomy educator? Consider joining us on Saturday, August 8, from 12 PM to 4 PM Eastern Time (Washington, DC time zone). During this free virtual workshop, we will model how to use a number of space science-integrated physics activities from the NASA SSEC group, including two activities that us Physics Toolbox's Magna-AR.
- Planetary Magnetism (an exploration into the Earth's magnetic field and the implications of strong/weak planetary magnetic fields for life on exoplanets)
- Energy and Magnetic Fields (an exploration into the relationship between field strength, magnetic energy, and how stars release magnetic energy through solar flares)
