A Lesson and a Study on Embodied Learning with LiDAR
Daniel O'Brien and Rebecca Vieyra of the LiDAR Motion Visualizer team recently carried out a study with more than 100 undergraduate non-major students to compare the learning outcomes of using traditional sonic ranger and cart-and-track activities versus LiDAR Motion Visualizer.
The study involved the use of a lesson that pairs with LiDAR Motion Visualizer's 9 challenges.
We are actively looking for educators of middle or high school who would like to engage their students in a similar study (teacher stipend available). Contact rebecca.elizabeth.vieyra@gmail.com if you are interested.
Visualizing Physics at PhysCon22
PhysCon is a gathering of U.S. physics majors that supports students as they consider graduate school or future careers. Earlier this month, we shared Physics Toolbox, including LiDAR Motion Visualizer, with over 200 students and faculty as they learned about the power of smartphone sensors.
