We are happy to share that Physics Toolbox Suite Pro, for Android devices, is now available! The Pro version has a number of additional functionalities that might be useful to those who currently use Physics Toolbox Sensor Suite.

- File Loading
Proceeds from Physics Toolbox Suite Pro will ensure continued maintenance of Physics Toolbox Sensor Suite, which will remain freely available for use by hundreds of thousands of current and future educators, engineers, and other curious learners.

A unique setup for a stable fall
In our prior newsletter, we shared how to measure acceleration due to gravity using a smartphone dropped onto a suspended sheet. One of the biggest problems we encounter is how to stabilize the smartphone before being dropped, and then dropping it in such a way that it will fall with as little rotational component as possible. Check out this YouTube setup from Mikulas Domonkos in Hungary (with an optional slow motion camera) that results in some very clean data!
